Located about 90 miles from Minneapolis, ProCut Firewood provides excellent firewood delivery services to Minneapolis, St. Paul and the surrounding area. Since 1989, we’ve been splitting and drying the best wood local vendors have to offer. When our top-tier production process is complete, we load up the wood and send it to our happy customers.
How ProCut Firewood Prepares Each Log
Every great delivery begins with an amazing product. We don’t need to reel people in with empty promises of perfectly dry firewood because we’ve optimized our process to make sure customers get what they pay for. Please see our reviews!
Selection From Great Vendors
Local vendors from whom we purchase raw hardwood are as transparent and environmentally conscious as we are. The wood they chop is fair-trade, and they work locally. While working with local vendors limits our selection, it makes sure that the wood we purchase hasn’t been exposed to the elements too much. Purchasing locally also allows us to limit travel expenses that might hike up the prices of distant, exotic species.

We only use wood from local, responsible vendors.
A Firewood Production Process That Doesn’t Compromise
Many major retailers season their wood to make it dry enough to use, but seasoning takes several months and can only remove so much moisture. Premium vendors like ProCut Firewood use scalding heat from kilns to dry hardwood. Kiln-drying is faster and more effective than seasoning. To combine the incredible durability of hardwood with optimal dryness, we leave our wood in kilns at 265 degrees Fahrenheit for 36 hours.
Amazing Customer Service
We put immense care into our work, but we wouldn’t get far without our attention to customers. Fully meeting the needs of our customers is our primary business model. What good are we if we mix up our orders and don’t communicate delays or setbacks? While we try to limit mistakes on our end, we like to communicate as openly as possible. Transparency is part of excellent service.
Our Firewood Ordering Process
Before we send our premium firewood your way, you’ll have to tell us what you want. There are many types of kiln-dried hardwood. No single species is objectively better than another. Oak is great for long fires that heat your home, but fruitwoods offer pleasant aromas whose potency isn’t overbearing.
Our Options Allow for Customization
Consider different sizes as well as different species. If you don’t know how much you need, tell us how often you plan to use firewood, and we can base our recommendation on that. For intermittent use, we recommend a face cord at most. For customers who use firewood to heat their homes or commercial properties, we might recommend a full cord. We also have bundles of five to seven pieces and “ministacks” of 80 pieces for our most casual customers.
Let Us Know if You Have Any Questions
We know there’s an overwhelming amount of information on our website. If there’s anything you’d like to know more about your order or firewood in general, you can always ask us questions over the phone. In addition to size recommendations, we can help you decide which species you want and how we should cut your wood.
How We Make Firewood Deliveries
Delivering firewood across the Twin Cities and beyond takes diligence. Once you order firewood, we gather what you need, verify that we’ve gotten your order correct, load everything into a truck and get going. Here’s a snapshot of what we do during those one to two business days.
Meticulous Processing for Optimal Orders
The main practice that sets us apart from competitors is that we make sure the volume of wood is correct. Many firewood vendors either don’t verify that the amount is correct or go out of their way to make your order look bigger than it is. As much of a no-brainer as following this rule is, neglect among major retailers has made it important.
We don’t measure your order until we’ve stacked each log parallel by hand, but there are other factors for us to track. We cut the wood the way you want it, which is especially important for cooking wood orders that’ll depend on the size of your grill, and we double-check the species before sending it your way.

We pack wood densely enough to make sure you have the right amount.
We don’t tackle more than we can handle. To make sure orders receive their due care, we seldom make multiple deliveries with a single trip. We’ll arrive as quickly as possible and let customers know exactly when we’ll be there. No matter how distant customers are, we encourage them to provide specific instructions about where to deliver and stack orders upon arrival.
Local Firewood Delivery Tips the Scales
National chains and hardware stores often present the cheapest options, but few products exhibit as direct a relationship between cost and quality as firewood does. Some “affordable” companies have the gall to sell softwood. The kiln-dried hardwood we provide is necessarily more expensive, but if you’re near enough to a premium firewood vendor, that proximity may suggest an opportunity. The next time you buy firewood for the winter, let a quick Google search reveal any nearby firewood vendors.
Maybe We Can Deliver to You!
If you live within 100 miles of our Rochester location, we want to deliver to you. We can’t provide firewood all over the nation, so we take pride in serving the local customers we can reach. As each step of the delivery process receives our utmost vigilance, we know we can help you get effective firewood that lets you enjoy the best fires.
