What makes our firewood the best in the Twin Cities region? The two main factors are dryness and density. Because we offer only kiln-dried hardwood, our firewood is the densest and driest available.
At one extreme lies fresh wood. Whether it’s raining or not, the wood is going to be too moist for a fire, and there are two ways to combat this.
Many vendors resort to seasoning, a drying process that takes several months. Wood is simply left outside to dry. Usually, it’s under some sort of loose covering for protection from the elements. Leaving wide spaces among each log for airflow can expedite the process.
Our kiln-drying process is more effective, yielding drier wood in mere days. We leave our premium hardwood in 265-degree kilns for 36 hours to remove all moisture, pests, fungus and mold.
As for density, there are two main types of firewood for sale: hardwoods and softwoods. Hardwoods, like oak and maple, are uniformly denser than softwoods, like pine, so we only use hardwoods, but what does density actually do for us? The denser the wood, the longer and hotter the fire. Be sure to stock up on the driest, densest firewood at the start of the season!

We offer our firewood in different shapes and species. Our firewood selection includes cherry, birch, hickory, oak and a medley of all available species. We also offer sauna wood.

Finally, our mulch colors range from mild reds and golds to modern blacks and browns.
If you’re stocking up on firewood for the fall and winter, we’ve a couple effective options: a bundle is good for a single event. Our mini stack, which contains about 80 logs, is perfect for a couple weeks. A half cord is good for those who rely a bit on firewood to heat homes. And a full cord is effective for people who plan to rely a lot on firewood to heat their homes.
Cooking wood sizes range from a mini stack or a cubic foot of firewood in a box to 300-cubic inch bags of wood chunks or custom orders for small pizza oven chips.
